Jordan Voices

Jordan Voices is a multiple-channel platform comprising a monthly newspaper, an interactive website, an online community, and social media channels. Students from public and private schools in the age category 10-17 will generate the content by contributing their op-eds on selected topics of interest to the young generation in Jordan and their peers everywhere, side by side with coverage of events and issues of concern to the school community. The idea is to empower these young people through a platform to voice their points of view with utter freedom and have their say in current affairs, trends, and developments in every sector. They will be guided by a team of professional editors and will vie for a monthly prize for the best essay. The editors will also train a team of young reporters to cover school events and write hard news and features to diversify the content and create the future generation of bilingual journalists, equipped with all the skills and knowledge to lead the sector in the future. As far as founders are concerned, the idea is replicable in the region and the world, as it will draw the attention of policymakers, planners of the future, researchers, and even the business sector.
