Journalists For The Future

The "Journalists for the Future" NGO has been successfully implementing projects in the media and communications sector, contributing to the development of freedom of speech and quality journalism in Armenia, the growth of alternative media, and ensuring the diversity of information in the country. Since its establishment in 2007, we have been conducting training programs related to the media sector, engaging in research activities, publishing media-related manuals, creating innovative platforms, and initiating public campaigns. A clear testament to our successful work is our numerous awards, including the "Golden Key" award, granted twice by the Freedom of Information Center in different years. In October 2016,"Journalists for the Future" NGO established Ampop.am or "Ampop Media", a data journalism platform, providing journalists with the opportunity to engage in experimental projects. The website publishes content in the genre of explanatory journalism, using a concise and multimedia storytelling format to cover relevant topics for Armenia. Ampop Media covers current and complex topics related to socio-economic issues, market relations, and economic developments, political processes, as well as healthcare, the environment, and education. By combining traditional and innovative journalistic approaches, we are creating a new type of journalism. In our content, hyperactive links provide the audience with the opportunity to access additional information from verified and reliable sources. Over the course of 9 years, Ampop Media has earned about 20 awards in journalistic competitions for producing high-quality media content.
