Journey Through 18

Journey Through 18 is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization on a mission to empower young girls from diverse backgrounds in Houston, Texas, through the transformative sport of golf by providing programming in golf instruction, tournament preparation, mentorship, and access to local events that promote personal growth and build self-confidence. The Journey Through 18 organization was founded in 2021 by Maulana Dotch, a PGA/LPGA Professional. Journey Through 18 leverages the game of golf's unique qualities and the LPGA*USGA Girls Golf program's curriculum to develop its members' core life values and skills during adolescence, guiding them on their journey from the first hole to the age of 18. Journey Through 18 believes in fostering an inclusive environment that provides today's diverse female youth with the friendships, mentors, fundamental life skills, and inner strength gained through sport, which will establish the next generation of diverse, confident, and empowered women of tomorrow.
