I simplify legal matters for foreign companies doing business in Brazil. As an entrepreneur and Brazilian lawyer for more than 15 years, I understand the challenges of doing business in Brazil. Having previously worked in France, the UK and The Netherlands, where I qualified as a Dutch lawyer, I also understand the challenges and importance of helping the client manage different business cultures, languages and legal systems which play a crucial role when entering a new market. In 2011, I founded my own practice to offer personal, pragmatic and cost-conscious legal advice. I provide a wide range of corporate services, acting often as an external general counsel, representing clients before legal procedures in Brazil, setting up new companies, drafting shareholders agreements, negotiating and reviewing commercial contracts, always with a strategic and preventive approach to mitigate legal risks. However, when litigation is inevitable, I enjoy using my persuasiveness and negotiation skills to defend my client’s interest before Brazilian courts or arbitral tribunals. I am also passionate about female leadership and empowerment and a strong believer that diversity and inclusion can help companies not only to become more profitable but also to make the world a better place.
