Background: JSFH was established in Ghana in 2007 by William Kudzo Gati, Edouardine Amegee, and Theresa Ama Bruku. Our Vision: A world of favorable conditions and opportunities which guarantees the sound growth and development of women and children. Our Mission: To create the requisite environment devoid of discrimination, violence, illiteracy, poor health and poverty to sustain the development of women and children. Key issues: Domestic and sexual violence, sexual exploitation, rape, girl child trafficking, teenage pregnancy, sexual and reproductive health, illiteracy and poverty. Target groups: Girls (0-18): teenage mothers, victims of violence, girl school dropouts, orphans and girls of broken marriages. Women (19-40): victims of violence, divorced mothers, and rural, illiterate and peasant women farmers. Areas of operation within Ghana: Rural communities in the South, Central and North Tongus districts, Akatsi South and North districts and the Keta Municipality.
