JSK Consulting Ltd. is a management company that has specialized in the mechanical decommissioning and abandonment of oil and gas pipelines and facilities since 1995. Facility Decommissioning: Whether decommissioning a single well battery, a large gas plant or anything in between. JSK promotes a comprehensive package that includes physical isolation of the facility, production optimization and pipeline modifications to maintain any required production trains, de-energizing, purging and cleaning of production equipment, associated pipeline abandonments (licensed and unlicensed), and subsurface decommissioning including underground storage tanks, pilings, cables, process piping, concrete and other buried structures often excluded in many decommissioning plans. Pipeline Abandonment: Since our incorporation we have abandoned and discontinued over 3500 pipelines of all ages, sizes, materials and uses. JSK specializes in the abandonment and discontinuation of licensed and unlicensed pipelines. Our experienced decommissioning teams ensure the development of an appropriate and comprehensive scope of work for each project to ensure our safety and to ensure our clients remain in compliance with current industry practices. In addition, JSK will administer all AER D56 notification requirements, prepare temporary workspace/access agreements, obtain all 3rd party proximity, crossing and road use agreements and submit the application to revise the pipeline license on behalf of our clients. Liability Management: JSK works with our clients’ individual operating areas to assist with the identification of potential abandonment candidates. The Licensee Liability Rating (LLR) Program is an AER directive focused on “assessing a licensee’s ability to address its abandonment and reclamation liabilities”. Since this initiative came into force, we have completed over 600 liability assessments with close to 1/3rd requiring the type A assessment for large facilities.
