Jumpsticks

Jumpsticks are intelligent sticks for the blind and partially sighted people. This stick, leveraging location based services & apis, will be a precise navigational tool without disturbing the current behaviour and lifestyle of the consumer segment. While the stick will provide close to 100 % precision in its navigational aid, we also intend to have the stick help its user connect with the non-blind world; the stick can actually be used to publish tweets/facebook updates to the web and thereby afford “freedom of web expression” to its user. The stick will run on Android OS and will released as a development platform to encourage innovations from developers around the world; Ex. services like a social networking tool for the blind, an alarm device etc. The possibilities, like the Apple App Store or Market are endless.
