Junction Creek Stewardship Committee

The Junction Creek Stewardship Committee is an integral part of the Greater Sudbury (N'Swakamok) community, working to improve the health of the unique urban waterway (Junction Creek) that connects us all, and to promote the liveability and value of our natural environment. Our research and monitoring programs help us gain a better understanding about the health and ecological functions of the Junction Creek watershed to inform conservation and management decisions. Our ecological restoration activities improve water quality, bank stability, biodiversity, ecosystem function and beautify surrounding green spaces. Our educational and outreach programs help to raise awareness, engage the community in watershed stewardship, and provide opportunities for people to build deeper connections with the creek. Our programs are driven by community participation and collaboration with partners. Together we are healing the watershed and making a positive change.
