Our Just Checking system helps practitioners understand the needs and abilities of individuals with dementia, learning difficulties and other disabilities by using in-depth evidence and insights. The system consists of discreet, wireless movement sensors which are placed around the property of those receiving care for 2-6 weeks. Using these movement sensors, Just Checking creates a chart of activity which can be used to see which rooms have been visited, when, and for how long, as well as which doors are being opened, and which utilities - such as kettles, taps or the toilet - are being used. This helps care professionals complete objective, evidence-based assessments of people in their care over time, making proportionate care decisions and gaining a better understanding of when support is needed, putting the focus on maximising independence and autonomy without compromising quality of care. Just Roaming is a personalised, real-time monitoring and alert system which allows adults with learning disabilities and / or autism to live independently within a supported living environment. The system uses movement, door, bed, activity and sound sensors, providing instant alerts to staff, identifying when support is required. Alerts are set up for each individual, providing personalised care, and help to prioritise support needs. The system also includes a management dashboard, which continually audits the service, providing detailed oversight. Just Roaming empowers people to be independent, with the assurance that help is close by. People can live in their own space and take control of their own lives while enjoying the safety of 24/7 monitoring and assistance if needed.
