Joint Venture “Inkai” Limited Liability Partnership was registered on March 21, 1996 at the Republic of Kazakhstan. The partners are: Cameco Corporation (Canada, and National Atomic Company “Kazatomprom” Joint Stock Company (Kazakhstan, The Partnership’s core activity covers exploration, development, mining, processing, export and sales of uranium obtained from Inkai deposit. JV Inkai LLP applies in situ leaching for uranium mining at Inkai deposit, South Kazakhstan region. The process of the finished product manufacturing by JV Inkai LLP presents uranium mining using in situ leaching with sulphuric acid resulting into pregnant (uranium containing) solutions. Uranium concentrates at the sorption process using ion exchanger (sorbent). Last stage of the process - uranium desorption and obtaining the finished product in the form of export quality uranium peroxide.
