We are a non-profit organisation whose solemn focus is to establish sustainable communities by having the residents build their own local economy through skills training initiatives that look into empowering the community to become self-sufficient. NPO number 265-752 Jwalang Development is a locally harnessed organisation that looks at retaining the cycle of economic activity through the value chain of key role players within the community of Robega Village in Rustenburg, a village surrounded by mining operations and tourism activity. We exist to guide individuals build the capacity and capability to manufacture their own products and render services that can in turn be utilised for entrepreneurial initiatives within the village and surrounding areas. Robega Village is a stone throw away from Sun City and is surrounded by platinum mines. The village which enjoys an influx of tourism and mining activity and has the advantage of tapping into the already existing economic channels that can result in capital to be injected back into the community. We are committed to economic, environmental and social transformation and look forward to witnessing households turn-round their fortunes and earning a living from their own innovations.
