Kaea Consultancy

Founded in Copenhagen (Denmark) in 2023, Kaea Consultancy provides high-level support for indigenous communites, cultural institutions, and government agencies in matters of restitution of cultural heritage and the repatriation of ancestral remains to communities of origin. Under the direction of Te Arikirangi Mamaku-Ironside, Kaea takes its lead leveraging over 10 year’s experience and expertise to advocate and represent the interests of families and communities while also supporting museums, universities, and cultural agencies in their journey towards reconciliation and building sustainable relationships built on the principles of understanding, mutual respect, and collaboration. Our mission is one of advocacy and knowledge sharing for both communities and institutions. Kaea achieves this by providing access to information and resources, facilitating seminars, coordinating special projects and research, and sharing knowledge and insights with our community.
