Kalyan Silks

Kalyan Silks was founded in Thrissur in 1909 as a store specializing in silk. Today, it has 34 showrooms in India,UAE and OMAN, making it India’s largest silk saree showroom network. Mr. T. S. Pattabhiraman is the Chairman and Managing Director of the group. Under his leadership Kalyan Silks has been able to add at least one new showroom to their network every year. He is also credited for redefining silk trade through innovative concepts that include introducing India’s first branded bridal silk saree, “Saugandhika” and being the first textile retailer to create in-house brands. These innovations coupled with inventive retail practices is what has shaped Kalyan Silks’ success. With a turnover of 1100 crores, weaving centers, 300 design centers, 100 production units and employees, the Kalyan Silks is a formidable force in textile retail.
