Kanto has created a smart solution to track containers in real-time, through the Internet of Things. The company aims to reduce the loss of containers at ports across the globe, by having containers connected to the Internet. The solution is part of the LoRa network, and uses cheap and powerful hardware to create a scalable solution that can help make ports smarter and more efficient. Additionally, Kanto is able to detect whether a container has been opened at any point. This is a lucrative way of combatting drug -and human trafficking. Kanto specializes in the monitoring of reefer (refrigerated) containers. We can register when a reefer's temperature drops, or if the reefer has been out of power. The end-to-end monitoring allows us to give in-depth and real-time analytics reports to keep companies up-to-date on the status of their goods (and reefers).
