Karakana Initiative celebrates creatives and artists in Kenya and encourages discussion on relevant issues facing the creative industry to come up with practical lasting solutions. We do this through information sharing on online and digital media, organizing forums for discussion and discourse, curating shows and exhibitions and through business training for artists and creatives. Karakana operates on a strong belief in collaboration. It is only if artists are united, speak with one voice and have unity of purpose that we can have meaningful, profitable and fulfilling careers in the creative economy. We also believe that all stakeholders in Kenya's creative economy need to read from one script in order to see progress in the creative and culture industries.
