Our Vision – Eco-Friendly and Fun-First Game Design for a Purpose “Discover Karma Games’ vision, where deep strategy meets eco-friendly production and the support of highly effective charities.” Deep Strategy Games: Fun is at the core of what we do. We believe that games should be enjoyable, engaging, and deeply entertaining. We focus on creating deep strategy games with elegant rulesets. Furthermore, we strive to make our games language-independent, highly-replayable, and as thematic as possible for the strategy genre. Eco-Friendly Production Methods: Karma Games is dedicated to using eco-friendly production methods. We prioritize sustainability by avoiding plastic and increasing our use of wood to minimize our environmental impact. Effective Altruism in Action: We aim to have a positive impact through our ongoing support of highly-effective charities. While games are primarily for entertainment rather than saving the world, we find a deeper meaning in our work through our charitable goals. Some charities are up to times more effective than others, so we only support highly-effective charities recommended by organizations such as GiveWell or GivingWhatWeCan. To us, what seems like a small amount can make a life-changing difference for recipients. It costs only about $5 to fund and distribute a malaria net, which can significantly reduce a whole family’s risk of malaria and even lower child mortality. It is also proven that prosocial spending boosts one’s own happiness. This aligns perfectly with the common understanding of Karma as “What goes around, comes around”
