Karujog, founded on April 1, 2017, is a social enterprise dedicated to marketing and selling eco-friendly handicrafts created by women artisans trained under the non-profit organization FAIR. It was established to create a sustainable marketplace for these artisans, many of whom come from marginalized communities across Bangladesh. The business operates under a trade license issued in the name of Afroza Sultana by Kushtia Municipality and is currently powered by a passionate team of designers, trainers, officials, and more than 300 skilled women artisans. What We Do: Karujog specializes in handcrafted, eco-friendly lifestyle and home décor products, including: Jute & fabric bags Macrame plant hangers and wall décor Hand-embroidered shawls and kanthas Notebooks and document holders Our primary raw materials include jute, natural cotton yarn, and recycled fabrics, ensuring both sustainability and quality. Karujog markets its products through: A retail outlet in Kushtia An e-commerce platform Regional distributors and wholesalers Participation in local and national fairs (e.g, SME Foundation events) Impact: Through FAIR and its own initiatives, Karujog has trained nearly 800 women, empowering them to become skilled artisans and entrepreneurs.
