Founded by Gitanjali Babbar in 2011, Kat-Katha has grown into a powerful movement led by a team of passionate, experienced, and professional changemakers. What began as a single step into the red-light district has today become a symbol of love, trust, and transformation—empowering women and children to break free from the cycle of forced sex work through education, rehabilitation, and dignity. Over the years, Kat-Katha’s grassroots impact has been recognised across numerous prestigious platforms, including the L’Oréal Paris Femina Women Awards, Times Now Amazing Indian, Zee TV Fempowerment Awards, Mahindra Rise Awards, Doordarshan Tejaswini, Reebok Fight to Fight, PNB Women of the Year, and Radio Mirchi’s ‘Dilli Ke Hero’, among others.
