After leaving school I worked in my Grandmother's antique business in London. This is where I learnt the importance of a hallmark. Indeed my uncle wrote the Irish section in Jackson's known to the trade as the 'hallmark bible'. In addition to acquiring a piece of jewellery, the hallmark is a guarantee that your new treasure is an investment as well as something to love, cherish and wear.
