Katte Foundation

Katte (ಕಟ್ಟೆ)[kuh-tt-eh], a Bangalore-based NGO, works on enabling an inclusive and equitable society that transcends differences of all kind. We work at the cusp of people, policy, and politics to bridge the differences. Our first initiative - Project Eklavya Project Eklavya, an Indus Action initiative, supports the effective implementation of Section 12(1)(c) of the Right to Education Act, 2005. Under this section it is mandatory for unaided, non-minority private schools to reserve at least twenty-five percent of seats in Nursery, KG and Class 1 for children belonging to disadvantaged and economically weaker sections. As Indus Action’s Social Partner Entrepreneur, we will be implementing the project in Bangalore/Karnataka.
