We are an alliance of technical specialists who are experienced in explaining complex concepts in ways that are effective in policy, planning, and governance. Kauati is actively involved in national and regional policy development and implementation and provide detailed analysis on proposals and opportunities. We have worked on ki uta ki tai and mahinga kai-based plans and strategies for iwi, local authorities, government departments, and private interests. Our staff have worked in corporates, central and local government, and for iwi authorities and entities. We are proud of our long-established relationships across Aotearoa and especially in southern Te Waipounamu. The company name ‘Kauati’ is a tribute to Hakitekura and her strategic planning to become the first person to swim the snow-fed lake, Whakatipu Waimaori (Lake Wakatipu).
