KBL COFFEE is a coffee roaster that sources its beans exclusively from smallholder women in Rwanda We dreamed of creating not just delicious coffee, but something that would build up the community and empower women. Here's our story. Our founders know that economic security starts with female smallholder farmers who have entrepreneurial spirit and are pushing boundaries in a male-dominated industry. Ethical sourcing & transparency This is the most important part of our commitment to sustainability. Our beans come from women who work not by their hands but by their heads — their hands harvest what their heads conceive. Unlike other coffee roasters, our process does not involve large plantations with long supply chains and evaporating profits. More importantly, we ensure transparency right down to the point of purchase in small retail spaces like ours. Your coffee doesn't come with murky ethical claims
