Our Mission: Keep Iowa Beautiful empowers Iowans to create vibrant communities and build hometown pride through volunteer-driven enhancement programs. Our Vision: Keep Iowa Beautiful strives for a thriving Iowa supported by strong local leadership, beautiful public spaces, and engaged residents. Keep Iowa Beautiful began in as a vision by former Governor Robert D. Ray and civic leader, Donald F. Lamberti. Our programs include our signature "Hometown Pride" program, Pick-Up Iowa, Paint Iowa Beautiful and the Keep Iowa Beautiful photography contest. In all our programs, we strive to- Cultivate Local Leadership - Enhance Community Amenities - Foster Civic Pride - Boost Economic Vitality - Increase Cross-Sector Collaboration Keep Iowa Beautiful is an affiliate of the nationally respected Keep America Beautiful program.
