Kenya Premier League

The Kenya Premier League ("KPL") is the top tier of Kenya's football pyramid since 2003. Prior to Covid-19 the KPL saw year-on-year financial growth. Unfortunately, due to low attendances, as a result of Covid-19 restrictions, football in Kenya has struggled financially over the past 24 months - we have witnessed how Covid-19 restrictions have made business difficult for everyone. However, we believe victory comes from finding opportunities in problems - that is why we have developed a strategic plan with four (4) clear objectives with the aim of Restructuring, Rebranding and Repositioning the Professional Game in Kenya. For many, Football provides escapism and enjoyment during hard times. The game empowers young people – by promoting health, well-being and the power of teamwork; Football is also an important socio-economic activity not just for entertainment but for education and development of life skills. We are bringing our Member clubs and Partners together to refocus our efforts around the Youth & Community. Football brings people together from all backgrounds and we're an organisation for everyone. The Kenya Premier League will be working to deliver across a range of roles, including football, coach development, community, youth development, production, broadcast, commercial, communications, digital, finance, legal, marketing and policy. The work at the Kenya Premier League does and will vary greatly but we are committed to delivering equality, diversity and inclusion across the organisation. This is the only way to grow.
