A New French Firm Specialized in Employment Law with an International Focus Deborah Sankowicz, formerly partner in charge of the employment law practice of Paul Hasting’s Paris office since 2006, is launching her own firm dedicated to assisting corporate clients. With proven expertise and more than 20 years of experience working in prestigious international firms (Latham & Watkins, Paul Hastings), Deborah Sankowicz is starting her own boutique law firm which will foster a highly qualitative and tailored approach to advising companies on employment law issues. “This entrepreneurial shift in my career is driven by the ambition to combine my experience and specific know-how in managing employment law issues for foreign clients, with a fair cost billing policy adapted to the market and clients’ needs. With Kepler Legal, I want to provide solutions on a case by case basis, in line with the corporate realities and specific constraints of each client”, states Deborah Sankowicz. As an internationally focused firm, Kepler Legal will help foreign corporations, particularly from the US and Asia, with understanding and implementing French employment law for their local subsidiaries. The firm will also coordinate international employment law issues for French and international clients. In this regard, the firm already has in place a strong network of correspondent firms abroad, which all meet the highest standards of quality. The firm mainly advises clients in the new technology, hotel business, distribution, and industry sectors, as well as audit and consulting firms. The firm will also be the “go-to” firm for corporate law firms that do not have an in-house employment law team. To this extent, Kepler Legal has already developed many synergies with firms specialized in mergers and acquisitions.
