Keraplast is a world-leading biotechnology company that recovers bioactive keratin proteins from regeneratively farmed New Zealand wool. We are a global exporter, and we are proud partners of Croda International, AIDP Inc and IFF Health. Keratin is one of nature’s most important building blocks at a cellular level. It gives the human body structure and order, and is fundamental in the development of healthy tissues including skin, hair and nails. Using our proprietary Functional Keratin® platform technology, we recover soluble keratin proteins from wool fibres while controlling the protein molecular weight and cysteine availability. We then blend these proteins together to create ingredients that are 91% homologous to human keratin. Our unique, bioactive ingredients are used in the world’s leading beauty and personal care products. Our mission is to create life-changing ingredients for life-changing products. We are on our journey to becoming a regenerative business and we have committed to ensuring that all of our wool is traceable back to individual farms and sustainable wool growers.
