Kerman Science And Technology Park

To realize the commercial, social and cultural programs of Islamic Republic of Iran and in the mission frameworks of Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (MSRT) of Iran, Kerman Science & Technology Park (KSTP) was established (as one of the first ten STPs of the country) in 2006 by Dr. Abbas Ghavam who later on further developed it and raised its position among the top STPs in Iran. The main objectives of the KSTP are development of the knowledge-based activities and promoting technological advancements in southern Iran. Kerman province takes the advantages of the abundant regional capacities specially its plenteous natural and highly skilled human resources, four-season climate, industrial, mineral, agricultural potentials and the existence of high level universities and great research centers. Therefore, the KSTP is known as the first science and technology park in the southeast of Iran which leads it to have a special position and reputation in the STPs globally.
