Kesh Malek Organization

With the start of the Syrian revolution in March 2011, a group of young men and women who believed in the revolution values of justice, freedom and dignity, gathered and formed a group called itself Kesh Malek (The Arabic translation of Checkmate) as a sign of their goal of removing the dictator who inherited Syria's rule, aiming "to get the Syrian Republic Back” as Kesh Malek slogan says. At the time, Kesh Malek worked in Aleppo on mobilizing the community to join the demonstrations against Bashar Alassad dictator regime, in addition to organizing advocacy campaigns to promote the revolution values through the secret distribution of leaflets, graffiti paintings, and social media, aiming to raise the public awareness about these values, about the change, and about other political and revolutionary issues. In 2012, Kesh Malek organized several events in the eastern parts of Aleppo city after its liberation, with the participation of civil society targeting mainly the children. In 2013, Kesh Malek got registered in Gaziantep, Turkey. Kesh Malek now works in the following sectors, in order to achieve the desired change: Community Cohesion. Community Resilience Women Empowerment. Education and Child Protection Human Rights Advocacy مع انطلاق الثورة السورية في آذار 2011 اجتمعت مجموعة من الشباب والشابات آمنوا بثورة العدالة والحرية والكرامة. أطلقت المجموعة على نفسها اسم «كش ملك» دلالة على هدفهم بإزالة الدكتاتور الذي ورث حكم سوريا «لنرجّع سوريا جمهورية». عملت كش ملك آنذاك على الحشد للمظاهرات المناهضة لنظام بشار الأسد، ومناصرة قيم الثورة في مدينة حلب شمال سورية من خلال توزيع المناشير التوعوية السرية والدعوات للمظاهرات، إضافة إلى تنظيم حملات مناصرة ذات مغزى سياسي وثوري حول التطورات الراهنة. في عام 2013 افتتحت «كش ملك» مقراً لها في مدينة غازي عينتاب التركية، وحصلت على الترخيص اللازم لذلك. تعمل كش ملك على المجالات التالية سعياً للوصول الى التغيير المنشود: التماسك الاجتماعي / الهوية السورية. مرونة المجتمع. تمكين المرأة. التعليم وحماية الطفل. حقوق الإنسان. المناصرة.
