Want to try a smart-lock in your home but don't want to replace your current lock? We give your lock a new life! Keymitt is smartlock retrofitting device that you put on top of your key and lock from the inside of your home. Once in place you will be able to open the door using your smartphone. It comes with a friendly but feature-packed app which makes it ideal in dealing with home access routines like letting in family & friends, contractors and BnB guests. Giving access to someone is as easy as sending an email and you can specify the time and the duration of the given access. Keymitt offers all of this and also lets you keep your trusted old lock and door intact. At a high level, Keymitt consists of 2 units.(1) the Keymitt retrofitting device and (2) the access-point (Hub) which connects it to the cloud. Keymitt is installed from the inside on top the lock and it will rotate the key or the knob when given wireless commands. The built in knob allows you to lock/unlock your door manually too in case of emergency. The device is fully autonomous and is powered by a set of lithium batteries. For an average use the battery should last for up to a year and you will get notified by the device lights and via the App in case the batteries are running low to ensure you have enough time to swap them. The App has the basic lock/unlock feature, giving access to other users, setting access expiration times, monitoring the entries, setting alarms, proximity lock/unlock for easy entry, and much more. In order to take access management to the next level, you can supplement your setup by adding the Hub access point. It is a small device which you can place anywhere in the house and power it via a USB cable. It will allow you to manage Keymitt remotely using the cloud web interface, add/remove users, create calendars for contractors, sync with 3rd party calendars. Together with the 3rd party cloud integrations (Airbnb, Booking, VRBO, etc) this becomes the dream solution for the BnB hosts or any venue owner that struggles to scale up their service and compete with hotels. The Hub can be integrated with your building communication system (intercom) to allow you to control also the building door via the App for a complete solution.
