Kheirwabaraka

KheirWa Baraka started in 2004, with the fundamental aim of advancing the lives of the marginalized groups in Egypt, along with educating them on their rights and duties that will ensure a decent life for them and their families. The NGO has taken up the developmental role of empowering families residing in “Ezbet KhairAllah”, the largest informal area in Egypt with residents, most of them suffering from multiple economic, social, and health complications. The association is keen on working with all segments of the society through effective collaborations with public and private entities to develop suitable plans and long-term solutions for informal areas that will ensure the continuity and sustainability of the implemented development projects. Within this framework, Kheir Wa Baraka has been implementing various educational, health and economic projects in cooperation with multiple donor entities; within the private sector; McDonald’s, MSD pharmaceutical Company, The Islamic Bank of Abu Dhabi, Arab Banking Corporation, The Coca-Cola Company, Well-Spring Foundation, Informal Settlements Development Fund, PLAN International, the National Council for Motherhood and Childhood, UNICEF, the Sawiris Foundation, Credit Agricole Bank and Banque Du Caire. The association has also implemented a development program in partnership with (PDP) and collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Development and the German Agency (GTZ), as well as, implementing cultural enhancement projects in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment. Since its establishment in 2004, Kheir Wa Baraka has methodically and systematically contributed to changing the lives of hundreds of thousand of Egyptians in need, channeling most of its funding directly towards the beneficiaries and hiring the best-in-class development experts, with minimal advertising expenditure.
