Kibaale Child Development Centre

Kibaale Child Development Centre is a Christ Centred Organisation working to release children from extreme poverty in Jesus's Name. The project currently supports 230 needy of the neediest children to access holistic child development outcomes in cognitive, physical, spiritual and social emotional aspects. We also support over 230 families to improve livelihoods and access to water, income generating activities, health, food and healthy. Our caregivers combine those from the neediest background and bring them together to get education, trainings, household support with an aim of releasing them from poverty. Kibaale CDC is based in Rakai District where the first HIV/AIDS cases were identified. Many households lost their loved ones during the first outbreak which created high number of orphans in the areas. This pandemic together with other problems have continued to keep children and their households under dire need for help. 90% of the beneficiaries cannot manage a daily meal and other cannot manage to go to school. Working with Compassion International, we have supported over 300 beneficiaries to-date to access education, medical treatment, livelihood development and others. The need to support more children is overwhelming and we are open for partnerships to support beneficiaries in extreme poverty.
