Kidnapped From Israel

On October 7th, 2023 more than 230 innocent civilians were abducted from Israel into the Gaza Strip by Hamas. Ranging in age from 3 months to 85 years old, these people were kidnapped in the midst of a vicious attack against Israel during which thousands of children, elderly, women, and men were slaughtered, raped, and wounded. With the clear goal of returning these hostages back home safely and immediately, thousands of people have been hanging photos of the hostages in dozens of cities around the world, pasting up posters that were circulated via dropbox for individuals to print independently. This project is powered by the dedication of people worldwide. Thousands of activists from across six continents, spanning from Sydney, Australia to major European capitals, and including more than 30 states in the US, South America, Asia, and Africa, are united with one goal: to bring these individuals back home safely. After witnessing the horrors of this terror attack, we can no longer sleep at night until these kids, women, elderly, and entire families are safe. Can you? The posters were created and designed by a small group of Israelis based in New York City- the artists Nitzan Mintz and Dede Bandaid, partnered with the designers Tal Huber and Shira Gershoni. This campaign is unfunded and has now become one of the most widespread guerilla public artworks in history, as it continues to spread.
