Kierkegaard Library

The Howard V. and Edna H. Hong Kierkegaard Library is both a Center for Research and Publication and a Special Collection. We offer academic programs and events aimed at stimulating and nurturing the study of Søren Kierkegaard among students, faculty, and domestic and international scholars. The Hong Kierkegaard Library, Center for Research and Publication, stands as an international center for scholarship of Danish philosopher Søren Kierkegaard and of existentialism, and houses approximately book volumes in its collection. Many of these comprise editions matching those owned by Kierkegaard himself as a part of the Library’s ongoing goal of recreating the philosopher’s personal library.
