Kila Mtoto Afaidike Program KiMAP believes that when the basic needs of children are fulfilled, a sound foundation is laid that creates sustainable communities. Children need healthy food, clothing, and education as a basic foundation. Many children today and especially in the developing world have no hope of ever enjoying these basic benefits unless someone lends a helping hand. If such children can be assisted, they are likely to grow with a sound mentality that the world is not a bad place to be after all. They grow knowing that the able in society assist the weak. And the weak when thus assisted and become able also help others. When this cycle is repeated long enough, it eventually creates a self-sustaining community.
