Kindle Magazine is a national English monthly, specializing in arts, culture, politics, society, music, cinema, literature and sports, published by Ink Publications Pvt. Ltd from Kolkata, West Bengal, India. The magazine stands on three basic pillars of ideology: Ideas. Imagination. Dialectics. Started in August 2008 by Pritha Kejriwal and Maitreyi Kandoi, its proponents consider it one of the few magazines of its genre, currently in India, to address the youth via critical socio-political dialogues. With columnists and contributions from around the world and a dedicated young editorial team, they have produced content that is thought provoking and edgy. In the course of 4 years, Ashis Nandy, Noam Chomsky, Arundhati Roy, Shyam Benegal, Dr. Binayak Sen, Ariel Dorfman, Gulzar, Anurag Kashyap, Vishal Bharadwaj and many other public figures, thinkers and celebrities have given long interviews to Kindle Magazine. Apart from generating its monthly content, the Magazine also spearheads various events, workshops, quizzes, film festivals and panel discussions throughout the year to keep engaging with its readers and to provide them a platform to express themselves.
