Kinetic Structures designs and manufactures wire mesh vibration control products used for extreme environments. Wire mesh is a stainless steel resilient element that can be used in place of rubber type products. It will withstand extreme heat, cold, fuels, oils, saltwater, chemicals, sunlight, vacuum, or radiation. It is highly damped and withstands high loads. Wire mesh is used in aircraft engine mounts, motorcycle engine mounts, turbochargers, vehicle suspension, bearing dampers, spacecraft, pipeline expansion joints, and many other products. Wire mesh has a nonlinear spring rate and is highly damped. It can be used for vibration damping, vibration isolation, thermal expansion, thermal insulation, shock and snubbing. Wire mesh can be manufactured in many different shapes such as washers, bushings, cylinders, rings, squares, rectangles and segments.
