Kirshner Publishing, created by Alison Dykstra, is an independent publisher of books and information for those involved in construction. We provide highly-accessible, affordable materials on various aspects of the industry to both existing contractors and those who wish to break into the field. Kirshner’s flagship book, Construction Project Management: A Complete Introduction, focuses on the fundamental issues in the development and management of construction projects. This straightforward and readable yet thorough textbook focuses on the role of the contractor, taking the reader from start to finish in construction projects — from the early developmental stage through bidding, selection of the contractor, the construction itself, and close-out. Construction Project Management: A Complete Introduction has been adopted by technical schools, colleges, and universities throughout the United States. Kirshner Books is developing a series of electronic publications as stand-alone pieces and support for our textbook.
