I help create spaces clients love to live in with comfortable, functional, beautiful rooms that reflect the owner's sense of style and taste. My work is in residential design in both new construction and remodeling, although I have designed some commercial spaces recently and enjoy that challenge as well. Interfacing with architects, builders and tradespeople is still a thrill after 20 + years; I am amazed at how much fun I still have. It continues to be a privilege to be a creative independent designer in this market. I love helping people live artfully. Our lives are often full of stress and activity. Your home should be a sanctuary. Whether one lives in a house, a condo, or an apartment, I enjoy helping my clients create homes that are inviting, comfortable and serve the needs of the people who live there. Often times magazines, TV and movies show images of how we "should" live. I design around the way my clients really DO live. My style tends to be classic, I strive for a timeless quality. My personal default style tends to be upbeat, colorful and vintage. I love Sarah Suzanka's work and believe in the less is more theory of design.
