Kitselas First Nation
Kitselas People are historically known as the "Toll Keepers of the Canyon" Evidence suggests that our people have occupied the Kitselas Canyon for at least years. Before the railway was built, boats were used to carry supplies through the mighty Skeena River. The Kitselas People built their economy on charging a toll to others who needed to pass through the Kitselas Canyon on their terriory.
