Kitso Lesedi

Kitso Lesedi Community Development was established by a group of women who had a desire and passion to help the homeless. They decided to demonstrate their love by starting a feeding scheme from their own pockets. Initially they provided clothes and prepared food from their homes. Through this a feeding scheme project was established. Then number of homeless people that needed to be fed soon increased from 45 to 195 in a very short space of time. The number continues to grow drastically as more and more homeless line up for a warm meal. Kitso Lesedi has also recognised that they cannot only provide feeding programs but there is a definite need to establish other skills and a development program to empower the community to be self sufficient was established. They work every day to reintegrate the homeless back into their communities.
