Deutschland braucht mehr Mitbestimmung beim Klimaschutz! Was lange versprochen wurde, fordern wir jetzt ein. Denn mehr Mitbestimmung ist nicht nur gut für unsere Demokratie, sondern auch gut für das Klima. Lasst uns gemeinsam Bewegung in die Klimapolitik bringen, mit einem Bürger:innenrat für Klimapolitik! Wie wollen wir das erreichen? Mit einer Petition an den Deutschen Bundestag. Fast Menschen haben in der 4 Wochen Mitzeichnungsfrist unsere Petition für einen Klima-Bürger*innenrat unterzeichnet! Wer sind wir überhaupt? Wir sind eine Gruppe junger Menschen, die überzeugt sind, dass wir als Gesellschaft mehr tun können. Uns geht es um eine soziale Klimapolitik. Die Idee eines Bürger*innenrates macht uns Germany needs more citizen's participation in climate policy! More citizen's participation not only benefits our democracy but also our climate. How? With a Citizen's Assembly! Citizens’ assemblies are a highly promising democratic innovation that has been proven to deliver high-quality and just recommendations to political decision-makers while creating spaces for participation, dialogue and engagement. In December 2020 we finished one of the fifteen most successful petitions of all times at the German Parliament. Ever since, we are lobbying to convene such a democratic innovation in Germany. Who we are? A group of students and young professionals from all over Germany. Inspired by experiences in Ireland, France, and Great Britain, Citizen's Assemblies give us hope for an effective and just climate policy.
