In 1959, FM radio pioneer Saul Levine literally hiked up Mt. Wilson to broadcast his first record on 105.1 FM – and it was classical. More than 50 years later, Mt. Wilson FM Broadcasters remains as one of the last independently-owned major market radio station companies in America. Since the time of that first broadcast, Mt. Wilson FM Broadcasters has presented over 20 years of classical programming, much of which under the legendary moniker “K-Mozart,” until a format change in 2007. Now, the historic KMZT call letters have returned, and with greater availability through a variety of technological platforms we’re proud to present K-Mozart once again as the only commercial all-classical radio station in Southern California.
