Kohnen-Starkey, Inc. has experience in all aspects of procurement and pre-construction services including initial planning of hard bid and design/build projects, feasibility studies, master planning, constructability reviews, value engineering workshops, scheduling, life cycle and cost benefit analysis. All of the KSI personnel have extensive contractor backgrounds that have proven to be a valuable asset for constructability reviews, dispute resolution and as a third party review of change orders. Kohnen-Starkey, Inc. has extensive knowledge of the components and cost associated with the various sustainable design systems. This knowledge coupled with KSI’s ability to perform in depth Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA) and Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA) provides the design team and owner the information they need to evaluate and select the correct system for their budget. KSI utilizes software with the large LCCA database that can greatly reduce the time and cost of performing the LCCA / CBA study. KSI has personnel that are active members of the USGBC and have thorough knowledge of the LEED rating system and which products or systems can contribute to the LEED certification.
