I am a multi-faceted entrepreneur who has been involved in many sectors, mainly in the property, investment finance and media industries. I have founded and managed companies throughout my career including a successful property development business and a proprietary trading company managing a quantitative global-macro portfolio. I have also invested in both established businesses and start-ups, often as active partner or passive investor. I am a keen student of macroeconomics and political philosophy which makes me a proud supporter of liberty and a champion of free markets. I am a follower of the Austrian school of economic thought, the original laissez-faire school of economics - which is opposite to the current and dominant economic philosophy of today's era - Keynesian economics. As such, I am very much against any form of state intervention - I believe that governments should leave markets alone and not interfere and arrange the economy as it sees fit or to intervene financially, nor help special interest groups - it should merely act as a referee and never be an active player.
