Komodo Water

Komodo Water is a social enterprise that provides water access and sustainable water management solutions for small islands and coastal communities using sustainable approach and eco-friendly technologies. Established in 2011, Komodo Water was born from the founder's concern about the ironic situation that there was no availability of access to clean water for the fishermen's village in the Komodo National Park area. Meanwhile, the park itself has been a world-known tourist destination. Our almost a decade's presence on the island has taught us about the challenging situation and how to overcome it. We use 100% solar-powered battery-less reverse osmosis to produce drinking water from brackish water and a 100% solar-powered ice blocks machine. By activating the affordable and clean water supply, we can drive sustainable local economic growth through local resource potential, including fishery, agriculture, and tourism.
