KOMPANERO Is A Range Of Leather Bags With A Distinctive Weathered Look, Vintage Appeal And A Contemporary Design Inspired By The Concept 'Leather Being A Timeless Companion'. The deep passion for leather and natural sustainable materials along with our love for handcrafting desirable and marvelous masterpieces motivate us to make beautiful bags and accessories that carry your world THE CONCEPT Our founding team felt that most leather accessories in the market had started to look like their synthetic counterparts.They had classic run-of-the mill finishes and couldn't be differentiated from synthetic products. This bothered us, and our design research team worked extensively to build leather products from the ground up, such that they are so well differentiated from Synthetic/non-leather products; to the extent that our leather products that should not ever need a "Genuine Leather Stamp". To achieve this we had to invent a way to age leather products as the ageing of a natural leather patina is beautiful and unique to leather and cannot be achieved by synthetic materials. So we came up with "Piece Dyeing". The result was a signature KOMPANERO vintage aged finish which is truly unique and inimitable. Each KOMPANERO bag is handcrafted and piece-dyed. They are then individually distressed. Each of them is unique. One of a kind. Even the term 'limited edition' would seem a misfit. THE BRAND The brand name KOMPANERO is inspired from the Spanish word that means "Companion" and has been strategically evolved around the platform of companionship, which personal baggage is all about THE JOURNEY We started from a small store in 2014 in the beautiful garden City Bangalore, and ever since the journey has been quite crazy. 250 stores in Australia, and 20 plus stores across the length & breadth of India and the Kompaneros are flying off the shelves faster than we can make them.
