Konsiente

The mission of Konsiente is to teach parents, educators, kids and teens about the safe and conscious use of social media, in order to prevent them of becoming a victim of cyberbullying, predators/groomers, identity theft, deepfake, catfishing, fake news and much more. Konsiente gives media literacy classes in-person to kids in primary school, teens in high school, teachers of all types of schools and all parents and adults that need and want to become media literate in order to guide their kids or students better in their social media usage. Konsiente classes are given in English, Dutch and Papiamentu and can be given by zoom as well. There's also a digital course available of Konsiente which can be done in the comfort od your own home. Just like in the non-digital life, social media is another space to set a great example, for ourselves and for the younger generation that is always observing and learning from us. The conscious and positive use of social media starts with ourselves, by being conscious each time we post and share content on our social media accounts. Let's become and stay tech savvy together so we can all be mediaempowered and take the best digital decisions for our future!
