Koogler and Associates, Inc.(Koogler) is a multidisciplinary environmental consulting firm offering specialty services in the areas of air permitting and compliance support. Koogler & Associates, Inc. was established in 1974, and provides professional consulting and engineering services primarily (but not limited to) industrial clients in matters related to air quality management, air pollution control and environmental permitting. The firm provides services throughout the United States, with a principal focus on the Southeast. Our founder, Dr. John B. Koogler, has been actively involved as a consultant in matters related to air quality since 1964, and is a respected expert in the field. Highly qualified associates and staff provide a superior level of expertise in all aspects of environmental permitting. The measurement of air pollutant emissions was one of the earliest activities undertaken in the evaluation of air quality, and continues to be a major permit-related activity. Koogler staff has experience that extends from emission measurements on basic air pollution sources, to measurements on exceedingly complex sources, such as trial burns on major combustion sources utilizing tire-derived fuel, and a broad range of alternative fuels in addition to the analysis of control system performance. Koogler also provides initial and on-going certification of continuous monitoring systems for common pollutants and parameters such as sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, total hydrocarbons, mercury, oxygen, gas flow and opacity from new sources, in accordance with EPA Performance Specifications.
