Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA) is a professional institution dedicated to preventing workplace accidents and safeguarding the lives and health of workers. To support occupational safety and health in workplaces, we take the lead in creating safer and healthier work environments through various initiatives, including:(i) technical support to identify and eliminate hazardous risk factors,(ii) financial assistance to improve workplace facilities and environments, and R&D, safety certification, education, training, international cooperation, and public awareness campaigns. Despite our ongoing efforts, we face more than 800 accidental fatalities annually. The economic loss from workplace accidents exceeds 36 trillion KRW per year. Protecting workers' lives and health is the foundation of human well-being, which is the very starting point of happiness. Now, our society must go beyond simply integrating safety and health into daily life; it must become an ingrained habit. At KOSHA, we are fully committed to spreading the ideology of life respect and providing top-tier occupational safety and health services to workers and businesses. Through these efforts, we aim to establish a globally recognized K-Industrial Safety and Health model that we can take pride in.
