Koto is a British architecture and design studio crafting sustainable cabins, modular homes & wellness spaces, delivered globally. Our journey began eight years ago on a remote Norwegian island, where our first cabin was born from a desire to live more simply and closer to nature. Today, Koto is an award-winning architecture and interiors practice working across residential, hospitality, and wellness sectors, with projects delivered throughout the UK, USA, and Europe. We collaborate with homeowners, hoteliers, developers, and estate owners to bring regenerative architecture to life - from off-grid retreats to multi-unit hospitality developments. Our prefabricated, carbon-neutral structures are designed to sit lightly in their surroundings and blur the boundary between indoors and out. The Niwa flatpack collection enables worldwide delivery to even the most remote locations - by vehicle, boat, or helicopter - without compromising quality or sustainability. Partnering with expert manufacturers and craftspeople around the world, each Koto structure is crafted with precision and a shared respect for low-impact building. With backgrounds in world-renowned architecture and design firms, our team brings diverse expertise and a shared belief in the power of thoughtful, nature-driven design.
